Lake Days

It’s vacay-week for us right now, and we’ve been hanging out with the Gregory’s at their cottage for the last several days. (Point of clarification: some call it a cabin, but the pastel wall paint and cutesy decor puts this home into the cottage category, at least in my book.)

So far, we’ve eaten far more than is good for us, gotten just a tad sunburned, made ourselves ache-y with all that time on the water, and read for hours on end.

Here are some pictures for the time being; I have big plans for the afternoon. Coconut cake is on the menu and I’m going to figure out how to make it.

I could get used to life like this.

About to head out on the boat.

With Suzanne, my wonderful sister-in-law. 🙂

Yeah, we’re awesome. Please ignore the fact that we’re not up quite yet; patience, my friends, is a virtue.

Michael has just gone down in a blaze of glory. Perfect older brother Matt, of course, is still flying.

Almost-7-year-old nephew Ryan, showing his stuff on the skies.

3-year-old nephew Chase. Dad Matt is just to the left in this picture, helping with the first ski outing.

How awesome is that?

Michael didn’t get to wakeboard or ski at all last year–the thought of injuries was too scary, what with Ironman training and all.

This year was all about making up for lost time.

Matt and Chase on the skies. Love it!
